Popping in with a super quick update because I have seven pieces of exciting news to share!!
The Barnes & Noble preorders sale is back! Order your copy of SOULMATCH before 4/26 for 25% off (plus an additional 10% if you’re a premium member). I cannot stress how much sway B&N holds to a book’s success, and they base their decision on whether to stock a book based on presale numbers. So GO GO GO, please order your copy now!
BUT if you’d rather shop local AND support an amazing indie bookstore run by the most fabulous ladies AND receive a signed copy AND some free goodies, then you should definitely preorder from Middleburg Books instead.
I know this is an impossible decision. Therefore, the only appropriate course of action, would be to order a copy from both. 😉🤗 (More exciting news below… keep scrolling)

5. I’m going on a book tour!! Okay, so it’s just one stop (so far), but Simon & Schuster is sending me to Parnassus Books in Nashville, TN for a book signing on 8/2!! Parnassus Books is owned by ANN PATCHETT!!! YES, THE ANN PATCHETT!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

7. Some personal news! If I thought getting an agent and book deal was hard, it was nothing compared to the anxiety of watching my son apply to and audition for college musical theatre programs this fall and winter. These highly selective programs receive 1000-2000 applicants each and accept between 10-30 students.
After 29 applications (times 2 because he had to apply both academically and artistically), about a million essays, 24 live auditions, and 12 offers (plus two waitlists!), he has decided to attend Oberlin College and Conservatory this fall. This incredibly prestigious and exciting new program led by the best in the business only accepted 20 students. We couldn’t be more thrilled for our future Obie!!! ❤️💛
What I’m Reading
I just finished Kelsie Sheridan Gonzelez’s THE GODS TIME FORGOT, which is like a mix of Outlander and Bridgerton, and I LOVED IT! The audiobook narrators were fabulous and the story was absolutely enthralling!
I’m currently listening to ALL THE NOISE AT ONCE by DeAndra Davis, and am so nervously devouring every word. I just want to hug all these chararacters and can’t wait to see how it ends!!!!
